Songs for Survival

FerretingApparatjik started as a one-project band whose members are Magne F, Martin Terefe, Jonas Bjerre from Mew and Guy Berryman from Coldplay. The band recorded a song for the soundtrack for the Bruce Perry 'Amazon' television series which aired in the UK in 2008 on BBC. There are a lot of other great songs on the album, the sale of which will benefit Survival International.

The album is called 'Songs for Survival' and it has been digitally released on iTunes and Play.com; on Monday October 13, 2008 the CD was released to stores in the UK, including HMV, Zawi and Fopp. You can also order it from Amazon.

a dot of black in the blue of your bliss

Magne's latest album, 'A dot of black in the blue of your bliss,' was released as a limited edition on January 23, 2008. Here are some song samples paired up with images from the album cover painting performance at the Oslo City Hall earlier that same week (click the image to hear the sample). The full length songs were briefly available for free download on Magne's MySpace page.

A dot of black in the blue of your bliss
  The longest night
  Time and Place
  Come Back
  Running out of Reasons
  More than good enough

The full album was released on May 19 in the UK and on May 26 in Norway. This release included the six tracks above plus an additional three tracks (check here for more detailed release information). The album can be ordered via Genepool Records (UK). Samples for the three new tracks are below. Images used for these avatars are shamelessly lifted from magnef.net.

      Forgotten Not Forgiven
  Too Far, Too Fast
  Watch This Space

  Past perfect future tense
No one gets me but you
  Kryptonite
  Nothing here to hold you
      Friend like me
  Little Angels
  2CU Shine
      You don't have to change
  Envelop me
  Never sweeter
